Nails should be filed while dry.

Always file in one direction.

Filing back and forth causes nails to crack and split.

Use the back side of the cuticle pusher to push back the dead cuticles on the nail surface. Push the cuticles so that the nail gets a square shape. Use the V-shaped end of the meat pusher to scrape off dead skin and excess residue.

Be careful not to cut the healthy nail skin while doing this procedure. Cutting healthy cuticle can damage the nail by causing the skin to harden.
